Another Addition

Scroll down and reread the post below this one to meet Ella Gray!

We Have Lift-Off! Meet the Authors

WE HAVE LIFT-OFF!  (P.S. That's actually the Challenger.)
.
The Young Adult genre is booming right now and we're kinda the bang.  Oh, sure, you can find hardbacks all over the place at the library or wipe out your allowance buying them at the big paper book stores.  You can toss them all into your kid brother's little red wagon and take them with you anywhere.
.
Or you can take a dare and try out the ePublished authors.  We're only a download away.  You can cram us all into an Amazon Kindle, tuck it into your pocket, and scale the nearest building in a single bound.  Besides, gadgets are cool now, right?  They're not just for geeks anymore.  In fact, thanks to multi-bazillionaire geeks like Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft, being a geek is also cool.
.
I wasn't so lucky as a teen.  We had a tiny school library and a tiny town library and I was lucky to get my hands on Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud MontgomeryI think I remember one kid who had a computer at home while I hammered away on a manuel typewriter my mom found at a yard sale.  Pathetic.
.
Never believe anyone who talks about 'the good ol' days.'  There's no such dinosaur.
.
So, here we are to enjoy the glorious future with you all!
.
First up...
.
KIT FORBES-   I was once told I'm "the freaky mom all the kids would love to have" and I take that as a compliment and a pretty apt description considering that I've:
.
1)Brought home a dead cat skull because it was "neat" (which my kid later got rid of because it was "gross").
.
2)Trekked 400 miles by bus to see a Japanese rock band at their first US concert--and didn't take my kids..
.
3)Long to get a night vision camera to see what's behind the middle of the night creaks in the house.
.
Kit has a Time Travel Romance about a girl who goes back in time and accidentally kidnaps the future Emperor of Japan!  Whoops.  Gosh, I woulda been all over that one in high school.  Where were you, Kit?  Learn More About Kit and Falling Through Glass
.
Next...
.
REBECCA ROYCE-   As a teenager, I would hide in my room to read my favorite romance novels when I was supposed to be doing my homework. I hope, these days, that my parents think it was worth it.
.
Rebecca writes all over the place.  You can find her Young Adult titles at Decadent's YA Pages   You'll find her books on both pages.
.
And...
.
According to the only guy with us so far, RUSTY FISCHER, Zombies Don't Cry.  They also don't Tweet and other stuff.  Most especially, Zombies Don't Blog!  Thank goodness, Rusty does blog though.
Not only does he mix humor and horror in an infectious way, he's a treasurehouse of ideas on how we can all be better ePublished Young Adult authors.
.
Now...
.
TASARLA ROMANEY- Living in the cold bitter northern part of Michigan, I escape the winter by creating my own places. I write hi fantasy to satisfy my need for adventure. I love to travel and have seen the world's largest Indian, picnic table, Santa, weathervane and piece of cheese.

.
Tasarla just started releasing a very cool Fantasy series that has cover art this fellow author envies.  There are two more books in the series scheduled for release in the coming months, so go check her out at Tasarla Romaney at Desert Breeze.
.
KIMBER AN- Hey, that's me!  Well, I already told you how I grew up starved for good books. I still don't know how I survived.  Nowadays, I find healing by exploring great YA with my daughter and debating such literary questions as who was hotter, Edward Cullen or Percy Jackson?  Duh.  Anakin Skywalker from the Star Wars prequels, 'cause he was blond!

(At this point, my daughter usually throws things at me.)   Here's my main site- Kimber An
.
Like several of us, J.A. Campbell writes all over the place.  Her YA title with Decadent was just released this summer.  Check out Senior Year Bites  According to her main site, "When she’s not out riding her horse, she can usually be found sitting in front of her computer with a cat on her lap and her dog at her side."
.
Sounds like the good life to me, J.A.!
.
According to her bio, Julie Particka gave up writing to study Chemistry and become a teacher.  Can you imagine?  Thank goodness, one of her students told her to get back into writing!  Now, she's all over the place, including Young Adult.  Check her out at Her Main Site
.
Finally, a story about a girl who turns into a werewolf.  Did I miss the other ones?
.
From what I've gathered, Graylin Fox didn't set out to write Young Adult, but Contagion was identified as having great YA appeal.  And so now, we've got her too!  She's got a bunch of stories and poetry too.
.
Graylyn's bio states that "She lives in a marsh off the eastern coast with plants that struggle to survive on her “happy muse” weeks and a tiny cat runs the place."
.
Cats and happy muses sound good to me.
.
And finally, a girl who is a promising YA talent in addition to being one of the most awesome editors on the planet, LESLIE SOULE!   As if that wasn't enough, she's also an incredible artist.  Check this out-

Leslie says, "I am a dreamer and an idealist. I believe in the power of the human spirit to triumph over the evils of this world."
.
Seems like all us YA ePub authors have that in common!
.
Now, as you can see, there are NINE of us at this point.  More may sign on later.  You can find our blogging schedule on the top left sidebar.  Judging from that, I'm sure it's obvious you'll never be bored around here.  So, do pop in daily!  And don't be shy.  We love questions and comments.
.
Here's to a glorious flight of fancy!
.
P.S. That's the space shuttle Atlantis.
....
Later Additions to the Flight Schedule:
.
ELLA GRAY- "If I hadn’t been that reclusive teenager, who’d rather read in the library or write random tales of dismemberment, I wouldn’t be the woman I am today."
.
Ha!  I think most of us YA authors can relate to that, Ella, and probably some of the readers too.
.
Ella signed on with Echelon last year.  Pop on over and check out her growing booklist.  She's a mummy in the good ol' UK.  Someone strike up 'God Save the Queen!'  Many welcomes, Ella.
